The Good: This rack is solid, compact, CHEAP, and can be installed directly on a wall stud with one screw mounted directly over another - nice!The Bad: Well, my board - and old school G&S Warptail 2 - won't stay on by itself.Well, it will for a few minutes - and sometimes overnight - but then the board leaps off!This could be particularly dangerous should the rack be mounted above ones bed.Fortunately, the solution was simple; I loop a large rubber band across the prongs of the rack after I insert the board.Takes a second, and the board never falls.

I bought this wall mount because it's one of the limited vertical options, a few months later I noticed the plastic covering the side metal arms started to come off. Which is important because that's the part that's holding the snowboard, without those my board just slides down.At least 3 times my board fell on my acoustic guitar underneath it, damaging both items, so trying to save a couple of dollars with this item cost me a lot more than I estimated.Don't be fooled by the look of this item, it's thick metal plate and big screws make it look sturdy and durable but the problem is not the plate it's the two weak unstable metal arms on the sides and the cheap plastic covering those arms.

I wanted something to hang my board during snowboard season. I put my board away after the season is over. So I didn't want to spend much. This product was cheap, easy to install. You manually adjust the arm to fit your board. You have to get the adjustment right, or else it can slip. Once it's adjusted, it holds my Never Summer Revolver without any problems.
