Product Description
The Ski Trainer harness & leash system plus the Tip Clip is the ideal ski training combination when it's time to get the kids on the slopes for their first runs. The Ski Trainer combines the safety and usefulness of the integrated handle with two detachable learn-to-turn 7 foot ski leashes and a pack to safely stow leashes or other small items. We used these harnesses to help both our kids learn how to ski and they worked as advertised. The handle on the back is well secured to the harness and provides an easy lift to help them up onto the chair. The leashes clip off and store in the small pack on the back while riding the lift, and work well for following behind your little skier without breaking your back on the way down. Both my kids (then 4 & 6) started the season here in Colorado on a leash and ended skiing blacks.I will say that there are definitely two schools of thought though on whether you should use one of these. Many believe such a harness delays the kid's ability to learn to stop on their own - they rely on you and the leash. I don't know, but I would say that you don't want to belabor getting them off the leashes, much like training wheels on a bike I suppose.Anyway, good luck!Bill

This product has been fantastic. We have just finished our second season with the and it has been a lifesaver. The handle makes it easy to pick up your child when they fall and it is great to help them on to and off of the lift. The lanyards allow you to check the childs speed and steer them a bit going down the slopes. The adhesive on the tip ties did not stick at all to the skiis and after one trip down the bunny slope I was carrrying my daugther in the the ski shop to buy an edgie wedgie. Don't count on it staying applied, it could ruin your trip if you child really needs it. Overall a great product that is now training a second child. I am sure we will passing this down to future family members. Very well built.

The harness seems to work pretty good. We didn't use the long straps yet since we used it with our 15 month old so just held her between our legs using the straps of the body harness which worked really good. Maybe next year we'll be able to use the whole thing. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the tip clips require putting velcro on the skis otherwise they just slide off. Otherwise it's a nice thing to have to little skiiers.
