Be sure you need the tropical temp version or it will be too thick. Goes on kind of thick anyway. But not enough to be an issue. Goes on well, provides excellent grip. My use was on a bodyboard. And has a wonderful smell. The smell permeates the bag I keep my board in and seems quite persistent which I don't consider a bad thing at all.As for the natural ingredients I have an unintended recommendation for that. I went bodyboarding with several friends and their kids for a week recently. Left a bar of this wax on the porch where we were staying. Left it in a windowsill. Well, later one of the kids had gotten it and was gnawing on it. Had eaten about half of one bar. Yikes! Well, we told the child he shouldn't be doing that. He protested it tasted good. In any case, no apparent ill effects. Would hate for this to have been something with all kinds of petroleum based chemicals in it.
