I am torn on these boots. The are great for my 7 year old to put on and tight himself. The Boa system works really well and uniformly tightens the boot around. He says it is really comfortable when he rides, but not when he walks. At the end of the day, the insides of his ankle are red and raw. To be fair, my son has very bony ankles and a pretty decent pronation, so that part of his ankle is likely to rub. The issue though is this boot has a very thin lining that is not very smooth. In retrospect, I wish we would have went with something with a thicker liner/more cushion for comfort (such as the Burton Zipline).
